Porcelain with overglaze enamels and gilt. Seated figure of a Daoist deity, well modeled in resplendent robes and ceremonial hat. His benevolent features convey a calm, compassionate authority as he sits with hands folded within the voluminous drapery of his robe. The figure is decorated in a faux metal with gilt and turquoise splashes; simulating the worn, colorful patina of archaic bronze. Condition: slight wear to enamels at base
